Background

I’ve always had a passion for capturing precious memories for my friends and family with film cameras from a young age. In recent years, I started getting lots of enquiries from friends and friends of friends wanting me to help them remember their special day. I always feel humbled and honoured to be invited to be part of their special moments, especially being the one to capture it.

In 2006, I decided to provide my services to the general public so more people can have access to professional photography with honest advice.

My passion for photography comes from my desire to capture your defining moments – whether you’re bursting with laughter, deep in thought or just staring into the distance. The challenge with formal photography is to capture smiles that don’t look rigid nor forced – rather smiles that appear as if they were candids, captured at the perfect moment. This is how I believe precious moments in life should be remembered.

Qualifications

I am currently an emerging member with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). All members of the AIPP are bound by the institute’s code of ethics to ensure that you, our clients are well looked after.

I undertook a PhD in the field of face recognition and image processing, studying effect of image resolution on face recognition performance. I particularly enjoyed comparing the recognition ability of humans versus computers. Having read many faces from my research, I have developed a deep understanding of the characterstics of the various facial features, and more importantly how to make you look your best!
